A look at some of the garage door work we've completed for homeowners across Central Connecticut. Every job — big or small — gets the royal treatment.
A severely damaged garage door gave this Madison, CT homeowner a reason to update the look of the garage. Spring King installed a CHI Overhead Door Model 5983 in Dark Oak Woodtone. The fully insulated steel door has a real wood look, and the new torsion spring system is designed for smoother, more reliable operation.
Spring King Garage Doors completed a garage door installation in West Haven, CT, replacing an aging wood door with a new Safe-Way Choice Series Model 56 uninsulated door. We also included an exterior keyed lock so the garage can stay secure from the outside.
Spring King Garage Doors completed a two-door garage door installation in Berlin, CT. The existing uninsulated doors were replaced with Safe-Way Model 65 doors with long ranch windows for a cleaner look and better everyday use. The old extension spring setup was upgraded to torsion springs for smoother operation, and we also installed two LiftMaster 6580L smart garage door openers with belt drive DC motors, battery backup, Wi-Fi connectivity, integrated LED lights, and built-in cameras.
Spring King Garage Doors completed a garage door installation for a homeowner in Hamden, CT. The old uninsulated garage doors were no longer closing properly, so they were replaced with two new Safe-Way Model 68 doors with decorative hardware. We also installed two LiftMaster 2220L Smart Openers and upgraded the spring system from extension springs to torsion springs.
Spring King Garage Doors completed a two-door garage door installation at a home in Glastonbury, CT. The old extension spring doors were replaced with Safe-Way Regency Model 72 doors with long windows and torsion springs. We also installed a new LiftMaster opener for one of the doors, and the full project was completed in a single day.
A Glastonbury homeowner called Spring King Garage Doors after their Chamberlain opener stopped opening and closing the door fully. The door would stop in random positions, which pointed to an internal [garage door opener](/services/garage-door-opener) issue rather than a simple adjustment. After diagnosing the system, we found that the motor gear driving the travel module had broken. The repair required replacing the DC motor and travel module, and the parts were covered under Chamberlain’s lifetime motor warranty. Once replaced, the opener was set back up for proper travel and reliable operation. For homeowners dealing with a door that will not move correctly, Spring King also provides full [garage door repair](/services/garage-door-repair) across Central Connecticut.
Spring King Garage Doors recently completed a [garage door installation in Meriden, CT](https://springkinggaragedoors.com/service-areas/garage-door-repair-meriden-ct), replacing an aging wood door on a detached garage with a new [Safe-Way Regency Series insulated garage door](https://springkinggaragedoors.com/products/safe-way-regency-series). The homeowner was originally considering an uninsulated door, but after talking through the long-term plan to use the garage as a workshop, the insulated option made more sense. We also upgraded the old extension spring setup to a new torsion spring system and added an exterior lock for improved security. This project is a strong example of a clean, practical [garage door installation](https://springkinggaragedoors.com/services/garage-door-installation) built around how the homeowner plans to use the space.
This Guilford home had two older wood garage doors that were ready for an upgrade. Spring King replaced them with Haas 600 Series faux wood garage doors for a clean wood-look finish without going back to traditional wood doors. We also installed two LiftMaster 6580L openers and color-matched exterior seals to help improve the finished look, insulation, and weather-tight fit. If you’re considering new garage doors in Guilford or along the Connecticut shoreline, Spring King Garage Doors can help you compare styles, insulation options, and opener upgrades.
Homeowner heard a loud bang in their garage early morning — a classic sign of a broken torsion spring. We arrived same day, replaced both springs with high-cycle units rated for 25,000 cycles, re-balanced the door, and had everything running quietly again within two hours.
This Meriden homeowner noticed daylight under their closed door and a squeaky, jerky operation. Our 25-point inspection found worn nylon rollers, loose hardware, and a completely deteriorated bottom seal. After new rollers, a full lubrication service, and a heavy-duty rubber bottom seal, the door ran smooth and sealed tight against the New England winter.
A minor fender-bender in the garage left the bottom two sections severely dented and bowed. Rather than replace the entire door, we matched the existing Safe-Way Regency series panels and swapped out only the damaged sections — saving the customer several hundred dollars over a full door replacement.
A Glastonbury customer with a bedroom above the garage was tired of being woken up every time someone came home. We installed a LiftMaster 87504 belt drive opener with built-in Wi-Fi and battery backup. The difference was immediate — virtually silent operation and smartphone control from anywhere.
This family in Berlin was replacing a 22-year-old wooden door that had seen better days. They chose a Haas 700 Series in Desert Tan with decorative windows. We removed the old door, installed the new insulated steel door, and finished with a complete hardware tune-up — all in one visit.
Whether it's a spring replacement, a brand-new door, or a complete opener upgrade, we're ready to help. Fast response throughout Central CT.
